Hear that? It's the sound of mini iPod owners kicking themselves.

iPod Nano

Am I the only person who doesn't see the appeal in these?

The same goes for iPods in general, but mainly because you can't change the battery yourself.

Of course, if I got one for my birthday or Christmas I wouldn't complain, until I (being the clumsy person I am) inevitably sit on or loose it in the depths of my room. This is pretty much what happened to my $130 graphing calculator.

You suck =P

I bet you, by the time one of us gets one there'll be a new model, thus making an iPod nano obsolete (which is pretty much what happened to iPod minis).

Why not just marry a rich man, then you can get whatever you want?

Isn't Bill Gates' son under the age of 10?

Hear that? That's the sound of Karma's laughter at the owners of mini iPODS kicking themselves.

I don't have any type of iPOD, but I don't care about what's new anymore (I've realised that I get severe bruising when I kick myself from things like that). I'm still asking for a mini iPOD for my birthday though :P

You had a $130 calculator? What's a graphing calculator?

Re: Hear that? That's the sound of Karma's laughter at the owners of mini iPODS kicking themselves.

Hahah. Well, hopefully you'll get one before they stop making them.

I think it might be called a graphics calculator. I don't remember. But I use it for general maths. It's like a normal calculator, but you can draw graphs (parabolas, hyperbolas, straight lines etc.) and do tax on it.

:O!

Oh coool. I suck at General Maths. But I want a graphics calculator cause I also suck at drawing graphs. ;)

Yeah I didn't want an ipod until the oppurtunity to be able to have one came up.

But seriously, any portable mp3 player = love.

September 11 2005, 08:56:19 UTC 6 years ago

True. But if there were a compact machine that combined a CD, mp3, video file player I would die.

Yes! Those look pretty cool, but they're hella expensive and apparently have a crappy battery life.

Did you watch Video Hits this morning? He was in drag for a few minutes, hahahah.

You have one of those calculators? Hahahaha! NERD! Hahaha!

Our school has.... a handful of them. I think only Extension 2 kids use them.

[info]ozeterrier

September 11 2005, 09:30:11 UTC 6 years ago

Shhh. Everyone who does General has one. Teachers think us private, Catholic school kids can afford them. And it also gives us a slight advantage to kids who don't have them. I think my teachers are snobby, haha.

Eljay is mean and isn't sending me people's comments. Boourns.

Do they act snobby? Or do they just want you to pay for crap?

[info]ozeterrier

September 11 2005, 10:23:40 UTC 6 years ago

I'm pretty sure they just want us to pay for that. It's actually pretty good to use, though it's hard learning how to.

Pfft.

*kicks mini iPod owners, too*

This is MY baby:

.

40GB iRiver H340. Movies, radio, pictures, text, MP3, WMA. *drool*

He's being fixed, so I'm being forced to use my dad's iPod mini. I miss him. :(

I don't use those earphones, though. I have big oldschool ones.

[info]ozeterrier

September 11 2005, 10:00:44 UTC 6 years ago

Hot shit! I really like the colour. It plays movies? So if you had a movie on your computer you could load it onto an iRiver and watch it?

[info]beckzzz

September 11 2005, 10:22:06 UTC 6 years ago

Yep, if there was enough room.

But it's a tiny screen, so, there's really no point.

[info]ozeterrier

September 11 2005, 10:38:46 UTC 6 years ago

Hmm. They're pretty expensive from what I've seen. So is it worth the money?

[info]beckzzz

September 11 2005, 10:45:18 UTC 6 years ago

Mine was $690 duty free.

I didn't pay for it. It was a Birthday/Christmas/Easter/exams/everything else present last year from my mum.

And it is SO worth the money. It's brilliant. No iTunes-esque software, so you can organise it however you want. It's a little smaller than a normal sized iPod, but thicker, so it won't slip out of your pocket.

I think it's worth the money. You can get other, smaller iRivers for better prices, but with similar features. Which I think is worth looking at.

I'd die without my ipod. Although, I think teh ipod nano just seems kinda of silly. They already have an ipod mini and a shuffle. They keep making things smaller and smaller and I lose stuff so easily. And it only holds 1000 songs? Mine holds 15,000 and its almost full.
